If you have damaged your
ZenSer wallpaper cover then you should consider repairing it yourself. This is easier than you think and will also save you money if you do it correctly. You should follow the steps in this article to achieve the results you want.
To remove your cover you should unplug the cable that is associated with your ZenSer wallpaper. Next you should loosen the adhesive backing on the cover. You can do this by either holding the cover between two fingers or gently pressing on the surface. Try holding it at a right angle to remove it easily. It may be a better idea to hold the screw from side to side so the adhesive bond does not slip. Once the cover is loosened, you can easily pull it off from the wall.
There are two small screws that run through the middle of the cover. These screws can be very difficult to remove. Once they are removed you need to use a pair of wire cutters to carefully trim the remaining screws. Do not be tempted to leave them too long as you risk them rusting.
Once the screws are removed you should take a close look at the screws to make sure they are not rusty. If they have rust you will have to paint or refinish them so they look like new. Once you have finished this task you can start repainting the cover. Once this is done you should try to get into the case to repair any damage. The problem with damaged areas of the case is that the screws cannot pass through. You will need to replace these screws.
To repair the screwfix you will need to use an adjustable spanner. Start by installing the screwfix and screw it into place so that it forms a loop. Start to turn the screwfix clockwise as this will help to secure it into its slot. Now twist the back of the wallpaper cover so that it goes over the screwfix and hold it in place with both hands. The cover will slide down over the screwfix and then slide back into its slot.
After this you need to take out one of the screws that surround the cardboard base on the wallpaper cover. You can use a pair of standard wire cutters to remove the screw. Once you have taken this out you can use the same pair of wire cutters to cut away the excess plastic. This should leave a big enough open space for you to slip in your replacement screws.
Reinsert the screw into its slot and reassemble the cover. Slide the cover over the screw and continue to slip it over the screws until the cover fits back into its slot. Replace the two outer screws and the four inner screws and then attach the cover to its base. You should now be able to lift and remove the top plate by pulling it straight up from the baseboard.
Now if you want to try and remove the zinsser wallpaper cover screws you will have to remove the top plate. If you are struggling to remove it, you may need to use a pair of flat head screw drivers under most circumstances. You should then remove the old cover from your computer and any accessories hanging from it. It is a good idea to mark the baseboard of your computer with a marker to give yourself some easy reference points when you reassemble your cover. Follow the directions that come with your replacement cover so that you can make sure that you are putting the screws in the right places. Repeat these steps as above for the replacement cover.
