8 Precautions You Must Take Before Attending Acrylic Eye Painting

If you're a beginner, don't worry – it doesn't take long to learn how to do acrylic eye painting. You can use acrylic paint almost immediately. But for best results, start out with a primer coat. Before applying the first acrylic paint, use a primer.

But to make sure the paint sticks well and stays on, it is best to prime using only acrylic paint. Primer can help the paint stick to the eyelid better. It also helps remove any previous stain or makeup.

The simplest way to use primer is to dip a small brush in some water. Use the dipped brush to clean the area of the eye where you will be painting. Let the brush sit for a few minutes. Then use it again, with a slightly dampened brush to remove the excess paint. Do not rinse the brush off.

Another method of preparing the eye is by using an eye shadow palette. Eye shadow palettes have a couple of items inside. One has the primer, and the other contains the base color that goes into the eye shadow. It also contains the darker shades that will be used to create shading. Better yet, an eye shadow palette will include glitter in three different shades: shimmery, semi-shimmery and matt.

Next, you will need to use a primer. An eye shadow primer is a thin, flexible layer of primer that is applied to the eye before the actual colors are added. Primer works like an advance layer of coloring. It provides an extra layer of color that will help the colors last longer. The primer can be applied with a brush or with an eye makeup sponge.

After the primer dries, you are ready to color in your eye. Start at the ends of the lashes. Paint them in light color. Continue painting the lashes in darker shades. This will create definition. You will need a lot of bristles on your brush to create the definition.

Now you are ready to put on your eye makeup. Start at the outer edge of the eye and pull your brush downward. Brush over the primer that was just applied. Brush the rest of the makeup over the brush. You need to make sure that all of the areas are covered. You can then put a finishing touch by applying a bit of mascara to your upper and lower lids.

Now fill in your inner line starting from the center of your eye to the outermost point of your iris. Do the same for the outer most edge of your iris. Finally use a white color for the fringe that goes from your eye to the outside of your eye. Blend this into the black line from your eye.

The last step is to use two generous coats of mascara for extra emphasis and volume. You can use either black or white mascara but I prefer the black ones. Make sure to get started with this stage at the very beginning of the process.
