Francis Bacon Artist
Known by the name of ” Francis Bacon” (or Fagin), this is one of the most famous painters from the England of the late seventeenth through the eighteenth century. His style is characterized by lively brush strokes, bright colors and a bolder approach than that of typical English artists. There is no doubt that his paintings resemble modern art more than other artists, but the real question is just where did he get the fantastic style that so many people today associate with him. Many people believe that his style can be traced to his days as a printmaker, although in reality it came from a career spent primarily in the fine arts. One of his most famous works, The Night Cafe, actually predates his career as a painter by several years.
It must have been quite a trying time for Bacon when he was brought up to be an artist. He struggled with some issues over his entire childhood and eventually ended up being disappointed by his lack of success. He eventually decided to give up painting but not before creating at least twenty paintings that would never see the light of a professional artist's lamp. The painting portrays a countertop littered with broken glasses and dirty glasses scattered across the floor.
Another of his famous paintings is entitled Wall. It is located in the lobbies of the State House in Washington, D.C. It shows a beautiful view of the Potomac River and the Chesapeake Bay. In the center of the painting there are a number of bird-like creatures resting on rocks. These birds are facing the sun as they enjoy the warmth of the late summer season.
