Easy Oil Paintings
Have you ever thought about easy oil paintings to make? I think not. Oil painting is difficult and it takes a good deal of time and effort to master the technique. But, that's not what this article is about. I'm going to show you how to get started making your own artwork using simple tools you can find at any hardware store or art supply store.
It might surprise you to know that you can make easy oil paintings as a beginner. Believe it or not, that's really what I was doing when I was a beginner and I thought I would share that experience with you. All you need to have is a canvas and a pencil. You can pick up a cheap journal paper at your local office supply store. Just remember to stay away from the cheap paper, as it will fray and smear quickly.
I would suggest that you purchase some starter paints to start with because it will save you money. One of the easiest oil painting techniques for beginners is called the spotted checkerboard. This is one of my favorites among beginner artists.
To create easy oil paintings for beginners, all you need to do is create a square drawing. You can use words or simple objects as your subjects. Make sure you draw a square with as much space between the words as you need. Now, take a marker and put one end on the inside of the square and the other end on the outside. You can use words or objects in both places.
Another one of my favorite easy oil paintings for beginners techniques is called the double-check. To do this technique, draw a line across the upper half of the square and another one down the middle. Make sure you draw exactly the same line down both sides of the square. Next, take your marker and write two words next to each other and two things on the inside of the square.
Now, you want to put one word on top of the square and another one below it. For example, if I'm going to make a triangle, I would put the word “dog” on top of the square and “cat” below. Here's another example, I'll make a circle. I would draw a line down the middle of the circle and another one in the upper left corner.
Of course, there are tons more of my favorite easy oil painting techniques for beginners techniques that you can learn. Some of them include; watercolor, pencil, pastels, charcoal, acrylic, and watercolor mixed paints. You can paint an entire scene with just oil paints! You have to be patient and work hard but you can master this art form.
There is no reason why you can't become like me. It's not hard, I've been through all of that. All I did was keep at it and keep painting. You can do the same thing. It's up to you to do the training and work hard, but with enough time and practice you'll master all the oil painting techniques!
