To start with I wanted to make a black and white drawing. You need to know how to use the px markers on the white paper so I decided to draw a white background. I used a lot of yellowish colored markers to make sure that everything was even. You could also do a little dark spot here and there to get a more even background. I don't recommend it as the yellow colored markers are hard to see what is going on if you're not trying to draw straight.
Next I wanted to add a couple of appendages to the drawing. Since I know I will be filling them in with color, it wasn't hard to put a couple of appendages on the piece. You can do some freehand with the px markers to add more details and get a more natural looking painting.
There are a few other things that you need to know when learning how to draw. You need to know how to lay out your brush and how to do shading. When you're just starting out it is easy to rush through these steps and don't learn proper techniques for laying out your brush and shading correctly. The last thing you want to do is draw a painting quickly and then regret it because you didn't learn how to draw properly.
These tips are just a few of the easy paintings to draw. They will help you to get the ball rolling and get the first couple of steps down. As you continue to learn how to draw you will be able to take your sketching to the next level. There are so many different subjects that you can draw and so many different ways that you can draw them.
