Easy Day Sky. This was inspired by a close encounter with a brilliant moon, as captured on film by NASA. I have always loved the movie, and found it to be beautiful and soothing to watch. I decided to try and do something similar, and try to apply this to acrylics. I used two layers of acrylic paint, and applied the base coat first, then did the stars last. I used nearly one and a half gallon of paint, which was not a problem as moonlight is not very heavy.
Moon Painting Easy, Star Painting Easy Star. I started this moon painting very similar to the way I always do almost all my paintings, with the exception that I used three and a half gallons of paint. Once the base was dry, I laid down several layers of stars and nebulae, and used some dark blue and gray contrasting colors to create the atmosphere. The way I did the stars was to make them out of nebulae and dot them onto the sky. I repeated this several times, until I had them sewn together perfectly.
Star Painting Star Art. When I looked at the above painting, I thought that the moon really enhanced the stars, so I decided to add stars to this as well. I started this moon art painting very similar to the way I usually do all my other moon arts, except that I did not use three and a half gallons of paint. Instead, I applied the stars in large squares, and created a nice background for them on the sky.
Diamond Painting Diamonds Are Forever. This painting took me about an hour to complete. All I did was layer it onto a rough background, then I created the stars, nebulae and comets that comprise the diamond pattern. I did this painting very quickly, since I only needed this one day to complete it. This was also the first time I painted a diamond pattern onto a white canvas, and the result was very nice. I think the star-less background was a nice surprise, and just added a nice touch to this overall painting.
Diamond Painting. After I completed the previous painting, I knew that I had found my favorite method to paint stars, and every painting since then is still a pleasure to look at. This was my first attempt at layering stars, and I did a pretty good job doing it. All I did was place the stars onto my pastel colored canvas, and then I sprinkled a little bit of silver. This helped to make the stars stand out even more.
Moon Painting Easy With the Moon. The next painting I decided to try was a moon portrait, or moon art. This was my first attempt with this type of art, and I was thrilled with the end result. It was a little bit difficult to create the moon effect, but I think I did a pretty good job. All I did was layer my moon painting onto a pastel colored foundation and then I added a little bit of silver for highlights.
Sun Painting Beautiful Sunsets. This was my second attempt at a moon art, and I was thrilled with the end results. All I did was layer my sun painting onto a darker foundation, and then added some silver in it. This helped to create a beautiful glow throughout the art.
