The last section of Anantara Veli is the last known section of this island's stretch of coastline. This area is known as nonya or the hidden nooks and crannies. Nonyas are small huts which are often built next to coconut groves and other scenery. This area of the island is less developed and is perfect for visitors who seek out the hidden delights of this part of the island. The main activities which take place in the nonya are fishing, boating and hiking.

Although most visitors are attracted to the pristine beaches of Anantara Veli, the real highlight of the island is its surfing beaches. Due to the remoteness of the region, only certain types of waves are available for surfers to try out. The north Male Atoll is the best place in which you can attempt to catch a wave and if you are lucky enough, you might even manage to catch a break.
