Abstract Painting
The word abstract refers loosely to the condition of being mentally in a state of total awareness without any of the common physical objects or elements. When we speak of abstract art, it can mean a wide variety of things. For example, a painting is said to be abstract if it lacks a particular element which is commonly found in an artist's work, like texture, forms, or color. However, when we refer to abstract paintings, we usually mean abstract expressions of thought.
In this article, we'll discuss what distinguishes abstract painting from other forms of art. Abstract painting is most certainly an expression of thought but there is something more going on than just thinking.
