Easter Centerpieces Diy

Easter Centerpieces DiyEaster Centerpieces are a great way to get your kids involved in the festivities of Easter. No Easter party is complete without a few fun and colorful “PIECES” placed around the party area. While many people spend hours scouring the stores for the perfect centerpiece, you can make your own by utilizing a few easy tools and materials.

If you have kids, this can be an enjoyable experience as well. It's especially nice because it is something that can be done together and keeps kids occupied, while you run about trying to find just the perfect Easter egg.

Egg baskets are a really fun way to display a collection of eggs. Place them on your counter, along with some sliced fresh fruit, nuts or dried fruit to really show them off! It will add a touch of whimsy to your dinner table as you gather around to admire your unique collection. The fun thing about basket eggs is that you can use any size egg…whether large or small!

Another one of my favorite centerpieces is the Easter eggs on a plate. I love the classic symbolism associated with eggs. You've probably seen this picture hundreds of times: an egg being swallowed whole by a fish ( Odyssey). This imagery has stayed with us and represents the miracle of creation – the ability of anything to be eaten.

Egg decorating is a very popular pastime at weddings, birthdays and parties. Centerpieces can be as simple as using egg cartons with a bunch of flowers (Eggs on fire, anyone?). Or they can be more elaborate! For example, you can make a grouping of flowers out of chocolate, wrapped it with cellophane and include an individually wrapped candies bar for guests to take with them. There are many ways to decorate…but I suggest using the natural colors of the eggs and star shapes.

Another creative centerpiece idea is to use edible diamonds in a glass vase. Take an ordinary glass vase, add some water and some white chocolate chips (not chocolate chips that have been fried! ), add some rose petals from a florist's shop in your town, and arrange the diamond clusters in a bowl. Fill with water and add a few drops of rose water to taste.

If you're looking for something a little different, look into making Easter egg jumpers! Start by drying off a few eggs and then soak them in some water until they are soft. Next, use scissors to cut individual egg yolks into uniform lengths.

Add some raffia to the bottom of the egg clusters. Then arrange some fresh raffia sticks on top of the eggs. Make sure the sticks are straight and not wobbly. Now drizzle some confetti over the whole centerpiece and wrap it with cellophane. Voila! You've just made an Easter basket of your own!

There are many more Easter centerpieces out there, but these are some of the easiest and most fun ways to create your own centerpieces. Do not be afraid to experiment. Who knows, you may find a centerpieces idea that your guests never forget! Or maybe your kids will!

For the more adventurous ones among you, there is always the option of trying to recreate a real Easter egg. One easy way to do this is by using two bowls. Fill one with warm water and then add a few eggs into it. Once all the eggs have been boiled, remove them from the heat source and carefully slide one out at a time into one of the bowls.

Next, use clear plastic bags to pack each of the eggs carefully. Wrap the plastic bags around the eggs before putting them in the bowls. Before removing the eggs from the bags, remember to cover the tops of the bags with a clear plastic bag so that the steam doesn't ruin them. Now all that's left is to enjoy the fruits of your labor!

Don't forget to take pictures! Taking pictures of your Easter centerpieces is the first step toward making memories. It's also the cheapest! So if you plan to make your own centerpieces, all the better!
